Operations Feedback Should Reach Design

Production problems are product information, not just tickets to close.

Current. Current engineering note derived from recent hserver and LOUP delivery, operations, incident, and recovery work.

A monitoring problem can reveal an architecture problem. An incident can reveal a product assumption. DevOps shortens the loop between those observations and the next design decision.

cAdvisor memory pressure on hserver changed the monitoring architecture rather than becoming a permanent operational warning. LOUP audio testing changed jitter, AEC and codec decisions instead of treating crackle as something support should tolerate.

The cultural practice is to route runtime evidence back to the people shaping the system. That makes operations a source of design data rather than a downstream cleanup function.

A fast feedback loop is one of the strongest advantages of combining development and operations thinking because runtime evidence can immediately influence the next design decision.
